Tanzania's Simba SC came from behind to beat Egypt's Al Masry 2-0 and 4-1 on post-match penalties to delight a packed Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, sending the Lions into the CAF Confederations Cup semifinals.

First half goals from Congolese midfielder Elly Mpanzu (22) and Ugandan striker Stephen Mukwala ten minutes later secured a 2-2 aggregate score at full time.

This is after the first leg in Egypt ended 2-0 a week ago.

The ensuing penalties saw Simba emerge 4-1 winners to delight the vociferous home support.

Simba will know who their semifinal opponents are when the other three quarters are completed Wednesday night at various venues across the continent.

In Cairo, Zamalek FC take on South African newcomers Stellenbosch with the clash tied 0-0 after the first leg. Kick off at 7 pm local time Wednesday.

RSB Berkane from Morocco host Asec Mimosas from Ivory Coast, with the kick-off at 10 pm local time.

The Algerians won 1-0 in Abidjan last week and will fancy themselves to go through.

In the final match of the night, USM Alger and CS Constantine take part in an Algerian derby to decide who makes the last four. Kick-off is 10 pm local time with the match poised at 1-1 on aggregate.
